Services Description
lively-courses provides professional development courses in ecology, conservation, and sustainable practices. Our services include:

- Certificates of completion

Eligibility
Our courses are designed for professional adults. By enrolling, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
Course Enrollment and Payment
Enrollment Process
When you enroll in a course, you enter into a contract with lively-courses. Enrollment is confirmed upon payment receipt and issuance of access credentials.
Pricing and Payment
Course prices are listed in British Pounds (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Payment is required in full before course access is granted. We accept major credit cards and bank transfers.
Refund Policy
You may request a full refund within 14 days of enrollment if you have not accessed more than 20% of the course materials. After this period, or if you have accessed substantial course content, refunds are not available except in exceptional circumstances at our discretion.
Course Access Duration
Active course access is provided for the 6-week duration of your cohort. After completion, materials remain accessible for 5 years from your enrollment date.
User Responsibilities
Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not:
- Share your account credentials or course access with others
- Download, copy, or redistribute course materials beyond personal study use
- Use automated systems to scrape or download content
- Attempt to circumvent access controls or security measures
- Upload malicious code or engage in activities that could harm our systems
- Harass, threaten, or abuse instructors or other participants
- Impersonate any person or entity
Course Participation
You are expected to engage with course materials professionally and respectfully. Disruptive behavior may result in removal from the course without refund.
Intellectual Property Rights
Our Content
All course materials, including videos, documents, case studies, exercises, and assessments, are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. We or our licensors own all rights to this content.
Limited License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use course materials solely for your personal professional development. This license does not permit you to:
- Reproduce or distribute materials to others
- Create derivative works
- Use materials for commercial purposes
- Remove copyright or proprietary notices
Your Content
You retain ownership of any work you submit as part of course activities. By submitting content, you grant us a license to use it for educational purposes within the course, including sharing with instructors and potentially as anonymized examples in future courses.
Certificates and Credentials
Upon successful completion of a course, you will receive a certificate. This certificate:
- Confirms your participation and completion
- Is suitable for CPD (Continuing Professional Development) records
- Does not constitute academic accreditation or professional licensure
- Should not be misrepresented as an academic degree or professional qualification
Course Changes and Cancellations
Our Right to Modify
We reserve the right to modify course content, schedules, or instructors. We will notify enrolled participants of significant changes in advance.
Course Cancellation by Us
If we must cancel a course (due to insufficient enrollment, instructor unavailability, or other circumstances), we will offer you:
- Transfer to the next available cohort, or
- Transfer to a different course of equivalent value, or
- A full refund
Withdrawal by You
If you need to withdraw from a course, our refund policy (detailed above) applies. You may request to pause and rejoin with a future cohort within 12 months of enrollment.
Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
Service Availability
We strive to provide uninterrupted access to our services but cannot guarantee that our website or course platform will always be available or error-free. We are not liable for temporary unavailability due to maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
Educational Outcomes
While we design courses to enhance professional skills, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes, career advancement, or professional success. Course effectiveness depends on individual effort, application, and circumstances.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, lively-courses shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, data, or opportunities
- Damages arising from use or inability to use our services
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific course giving rise to the claim.

Upon termination, your right to access course materials ceases immediately. Termination for cause does not entitle you to a refund.

For enrolled courses, terms in effect at the time of enrollment govern your participation in that specific course.

Entire Agreement
These Terms of Use, together with our Privacy Policy and any course-specific terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and lively-courses regarding our services.
